Stability in the Türkiye Yüzyılı

4. Social Model Design Competition: Stability in the Türkiye Yüzyılı

The aim of this competition is to design social models that ensure the continuity of Türkiye’s socio-economic stability. Participants are expected to develop social models that fulfill this objective.

A country’s stable development is possible through economic growth, social peace, and strong governance mechanisms. In this context, participants are invited to develop social models that maintain economic balance, increase social solidarity, build resilience against crises, and enhance the effectiveness of public administration. This includes projects supporting income justice, systems resistant to economic fluctuations, strategies that strengthen social harmony, and solutions improving disaster and crisis management. The goal is to implement social models that will ensure Türkiye’s future remains strong, balanced, and sustainable.

SAMPLE MODEL

Education Level: Associate / Bachelor’s
Theme: Stability in the Türkiye Yüzyılı
Social Model Title: Social Solidarity Networks for Community Stability (SODANA)

Unique Value: SODANA aims to strengthen the socio-economic stability of Turkish society by establishing social solidarity networks at the local level. This model creates collaboration mechanisms among individuals and institutions to increase resilience against crises and reinforce social bonds.

Model Methodology: SODANA establishes "Solidarity Centres" at neighbourhood and district levels through cooperation with local governments, NGOs, and universities. These centres provide quick access to basic needs such as food, shelter, and psychosocial support. Economic resilience is enhanced through local production and employment projects. Digital platforms facilitate rapid information sharing and resource management during crises.

Model Feasibility: The model can be implemented at low cost by utilizing existing municipal infrastructure and civil society networks. Inclusion of young volunteers from universities increases awareness and sustainability.

Widespread Impact: Community resilience against crises improves, and economic and social stability is strengthened. Türkiye develops a model of social solidarity that serves as an international example, increasing its global influence amid worldwide fluctuations.
